Existing conditions

Opening the room meant understanding the structure first.

The remodel began with extensive demolition and documentation. The vaulted roof, existing beam conditions, plumbing, electrical, and bay-window wall all had to be understood before the finished design could take shape.

Kitchen opened to framing — The room opened to reveal framing, utilities, and structural conditions.

Engineered beam being lifted — The engineered beam was raised into the roof structure.

Engineered beam installed — Structural work created the opening needed for the new layout.

Structure and architecture

New structure made room for a more connected home.

The work included an engineered beam, a large arched opening, reconstruction of the bay-window projection, and careful integration with the vaulted ceiling and skylights.

Bay window framing — The bay-window projection was framed and rebuilt as part of the remodel.

Vaulted ceiling and skylights — Twin skylights and the vaulted ceiling became major architectural features.

Finished arched opening — The new arch connects the kitchen to the adjoining room.

Craftsmanship and finish

Custom work tied every part of the room together.

White inset cabinetry, a deep blue island, quartz surfaces, a farmhouse sink, a plastered range hood, floating shelves, brass hardware, and refinished floors were composed as one room—not a collection of separate products.

Custom plaster range hood — The custom hood was shaped and refined in place.

Cabinetry installation — Cabinetry established the finished layout beneath the vaulted ceiling.

Farmhouse sink and quartz — Quartz, sink, faucet, tile, and shelving were coordinated carefully.

Glass front built-in cabinetry — Glass-front built-ins add storage and display space.

Finished range wall — Integrated lighting brings the finished range wall to life.

Completed kitchen — The completed kitchen balances structure, storage, color, and light.
